Students head off on a field trip to learn firsthand about environmental science careers as part of the "Pathways to the Future" camp at Delaware Technical and Community College.

The Delaware EPSCoR outreach program brings the excitement of complex environmental systems to new audiences. Programs include science camps for kids, professional development for middle and high school science teachers, summer research internships for undergraduate students, and expanded course offerings in the life sciences at Delaware colleges and universities.

 

 

A weeklong field program for high school students interested in learning how human activities and land-use changes impact the natural environment.
Enrichment programs for specially selected middle school students held at both the Wilmington and Georgetown campuses.
Intensive training that offers both the background information and hands-on techniques teachers need to bring biotechnology to the classroom.
Workshops designed to help teachers stay up-to-date on the latest developments in biology, genetics, biotechnology, evolution, and ecology.
A 10-week summer program that enables college students to conduct original research with the guidance of a faculty mentor.
A course that introduces nonscience majors to key concepts in environmental studies and why they matter.
A degree program to train the next generation of skilled technicians and research assistants for employment in the biotech industry.
